Show customers' WooCommerce orders in Freesbe

How-toFor adminsReviewed Guides: Customer orders

Connect your WooCommerce store and your team sees a customer’s orders next to their customer inbox conversation and on their phone calls. It takes one trip to WordPress for a key. You need to be a Freesbe owner or admin and a WordPress user who can manage WooCommerce.

  1. In WordPress, open WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced → REST API and click Add key.
  2. Enter a Description like “Freesbe”.
  3. For User, pick someone who can see orders. The key can see what they can see.
  4. Set Permissions to Read. Freesbe never changes an order, so it doesn’t need more.
  5. Click Generate API key. Copy the Consumer key (ck_…) and the Consumer secret (cs_…) now: WooCommerce shows the secret only once.
  1. Open Workspace settings → Integrations & apps → Integrations → Customer inbox and scroll to Customers’ orders.
  2. Enter your Store address, the one your customers shop at, like https://shop.example. If your shop lives in a folder, include it: https://example.com/shop.
  3. Paste the Consumer key and Consumer secret and click Connect.
  4. Under Try it, type the email address of a customer who has ordered, and click Look up.
  • “The store refused the API key”: the key was revoked, mistyped, or its user can’t see orders. Make a new key with Read permission.
  • “That address doesn’t have WooCommerce’s REST API”: check the address, and that Settings → Permalinks in WordPress isn’t set to Plain: the REST API needs pretty links.
  • “The store sent Freesbe elsewhere”: use the address your store ends up at, with https:// and with or without www., as your browser shows it.
  • The store didn’t answer: a firewall or security plugin may be blocking requests to /wp-json/. Allow it for the REST API.

Freesbe matches callers and text messages by the billing phone number on their orders. WooCommerce searches the number as it was typed, so numbers saved with spaces or dashes aren’t found. Emails always match.
